According to Bloomberg, the increasingly left-wing ESPN sports network has been forced to cut 350 jobs due directly to subscriber losses, which is also known as cord cutting. Early estimates were between 200 and 300 job cuts after parent company Disney ordered ESPN to cut $100 million from its 2016 budget.
In just over a year, as customers cut their cable cords and move to streaming television services like Netflix, as of August, ESPN had lost a whopping 3.2 million subscribers.

Gee, that’s too bad. Didn’t they give some freak a courage award over a gal who played college basketball with cancer until she died?
ESPN going under? well, bye.

I’m getting closer to cutting the cord.
I haven’t had cable for almost ten years. There are only 3 cable stations that I watched when I did watch it.
They are so biased against anything east of the Mississippi as to be worthless.
Nah, they should have wall to wall coverage of Michael sam like before to increase ratings s/
I hope those two losers on his and hers get the ax
I’ll make the prediction that within the next decade...half the nation settles in for Netflix and an antenna on the roof for their four or five local stations. I admit, the idea of having cable and 500 channels was appealing twenty years ago, but it’s just all garbage TV.
yep
I think they gave an award to Jenner or some such person. It was ignorant.
He had the NERVE to compare himself to Tebow because he got some announcer gig. Friggin fruit. And an Italian boyfriend. I had to hang my head in shame for weeks.
What has Manning done for Denver. I dont see a ring.
Yeah, i know he’s a better QB and Tebow takes too long to read the defense, but what if he had a few years full time in Denver?
oh well.
Ditto.
Great title lol.
They did. Over a gal with cancer and an amputee soldier, both involved in sports, until the incredibly brave gal died from brain cancer.
Told fiance DO NOT have ESPN on in this house. Ever.
I think she sneaks when they have Thursday night games.
I REALLY thought jenner was gonna say give it to one of the others.
Instead he said “what the hell am i going to wear”.
That was worse than being a freak.
Uh, no.
We cut ours a year ago. Grandsons complained and I really missed some of the channels. So I put a big note on the front of the refrigerator and every month put up the dollar total of the money we had saved thus far. We have all survived.
ESPN is a Disney property.
God bless Tebow, really, but he’s just never going to amount to much in the NFL. He’s just not good enough.
We would love to boot our cable, but my husband likes documentaries on various channels, and I can’t give up live sports. Netflix just won’t work for me. What I would really like is to be able to pick and choose which channels we want. I’m tired of paying for the homosexual channel, the green channel, etc.
