PAUL RYAN: JOB OF U.S. LAWMAKER IS TO PUT YOURSELF IN SHOES OF FOREIGN CITIZENS
Breitbart ^ | October 20, 2015 | by Julia Hahn

As the donor class continues to push for a Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58% Speakership, conservative activists have renewed their scrutiny of Ryan’s support for a radical Republican policy of open borders. Breitbart News has discovered yet another little-noticed video in which Ryan articulates his commitment to immigration policies that would dissolve America’s sovereignty.

The video, uploaded by the Journal Times, shows Ryan at a July 2013 bilingual Hispanic Listening Session in Racine, Wisconsin. At the meeting, Paul Ryan told a predominantly Hispanic audience that the job of a U.S. lawmaker is to put oneself in the shoes of foreign nationals who want to come to the United States, then work to discover solutions to make their lives better.

The Journal Times notes that the purpose of the meeting was for Ryan to “explai[n] to them his motives” for pushing to enact Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% ’s amnesty and mass immigration agenda in the House of Representatives.

I sincerely hope that the Freedom Caucus nixes Ryan’s bid for Speaker. While he is reasonably conservative on a lot of issues, the immigration issue (even LEGAL immigration) has to be studied extensively to see what - if any - net benefits that this country actually obtains from it. In the meantime, while it is being studied, we need strict border controls, the expulsion of a lot of illegals (we’ll never get them all, but between enforcement and self-deportation we can get 80% or more in a few years) and the slowing of even legal immigration.

Anything less, and we’re playing into the hands of the Leftists - since 80% of post-1970 immigrants vote Dem. This is the Dems’ dream, to PERMANENTLY alter the electorate to ensure themselves of a permanent majority. If they obtain this, then we will NEVER win on ANY issue.

“PAUL RYAN: JOB OF U.S. LAWMAKER IS TO PUT YOURSELF IN SHOES OF FOREIGN CITIZENS”

And we wonder why they have done nothing to stop Obamacare and unfettered immigration .

They care nothing about this country or it’s citizens.
Just another borderless hate America globalist .

It’s insanity to put hope in any of these people .

“How about putting your shoes in AMERICA’S CITIZENS SHOES FOR ONCE!!!”

Best darned retort.

Well stated.

He literally can’t mean this, making demands on conditions he serve as speaker. And if he is serious, he needs to go back to where he came from as he is not worthy of serving the voters of this country.

I have to wonder if this is Ryan’s way of saying “you guys won’t take no for an answer so let me force your hand”.

the job of a U.S. lawmaker is to put oneself in the shoes of foreign nationals who want to come to the United States, then work to discover solutions to make their lives better

Job description for Congress members:
1. establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity;
2. provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States;
3. To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes; (keep in mind that the word "regulate" does not mean "control" or "restrict the hell out of" like so many liberals and democrats seem to think)
4. To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;
....
To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Nothing in there about making things easier for citizens of other countries.

“Ask them to shoulder arms in defense thereby acknowledging their oaths and they would disappear leaving thin air in their place. In Keith Ellison’s case he rested his hand on a Koran while mouthing the Oath of Office”

He was/is exempted by Tah-Kee-ya ...that means/translates - You are my friend, now bend over so I may behead you properly.
