I think people did know it was a possibility. Trump even wrote about it before it happened and mentioned Bin Laden(sp) by name. However I give most of the blame to Clinton and very little to Bush.
What I think is happening here is all that Jeb has going for him is the Bush name. So Trump is trying to sully the name some more.
During clinton’s second term, I remember a foreboding news story concerning national security and imminent threat to our country, but no details were released. I never forgot it and when 9/11 happened, I thought that was IT, delayed a year or two.
Yeah, I think it was the separation of the intelligence communities that continued under Bush that allowed it to happen.
I think that's exactly it. Jeb is trying to capitalize on the good feelings people had about GWB directly after 9/11. He's not going to let Jeb take credit so he's saying "Well, if you want to tie yourself to your brother let's look at what many believe about your brother..."
