Yeah, and Trump’s numbers and increasing support show it.

>If he keeps providing his opponents with the ammunition they need to bring him down, with statements like this, he won’t continue with such stellar numbers.

I had been warming to Trump somewhat, myself a Cruz supporter, but with such inane, and unnecessary, statements like he just made, I find it very hard to vote for him even he gets the nomination.

I like Trump’s outspokenness, but making statements like this is beyond the pale. We’ll have somebody in office making similar idiotic and stupid statements all the time.

Even if he gets the nomination, I won’t be voting for somebody this stupid.

I find your comment a really strange thing to say.
I really liked and respected GW but he made some mistakes. He was a pillar of strength re 9/11 but he grew government and entitlement spending. We need to learn from mistakes made, not protect our past & present leaders from criticism. GW is a great man in many ways and he would be the first to say he isn’t/wasn’t perfect. His willingness to start the easy money policy on his watch because BO wanted that path was appalling and disastrous but in character.

Trump’s run has been an amazing gift to America because he has called out many of the elephants in the room. He is the first public figure that has addressed our problems pragmatically rather than politically and held people to account for their records. I say great. Go Trump.
Whether he wins or not he has helped America to at least open a public discourse that may turn our country back to solvency and productiveness.

Oh, and someone who voted for TPA and the Corker bill isn’t stupid? Those votes hurt America, Trump’s words do not. Sure, you are warming to Trump - liar!

"I like Trump’s outspokenness, but making statements like this is beyond the pale."

The only people I ever hear that term from are TV commentators, GOPe apologists, and Democrat useful idiots. What a stupid saying. Beyond the pale of what, exactly? Why not just say "unacceptable" or that you were offended?

But "beyond the pale?" Really? Ugh. Just stop.

Suit yourself; even though I am a CRUZ supporter to the bone, I now realize he won’t get the nomination. (be very happy to be proved wrong)
My donations to his campaign just aren’t enough to make a difference, neither are yours.
I will settle for a TRUMP presidency in the interim (hopefully with CRUZ as VP), and hope to live long enough to vote for CRUZ at the top of the ticket one day.
AFTER THE GOPE HAS BEEN DESTROYED.

Which specific "statement" by Trump are you talking about?
