What the heck is going on? First of all, Huma Abedin was allowed to testify behind closed doors. That should not have been sanctioned. She should have had to testify in public. The FBI is stone walling the case and not aggressively going after Hillary Clinton and her lieutenants like Huma Abedin. Now, Trey Gowdy doesn’t even show at her hearing and says there is no particular reason for it. This morning I heard that Clinton warned the GOP to lay off Abedin and now this. Abedin should have been raw meat for a prosecutor like Gowdy. This makes no sense whatsoever and it looks very, very bad. Cummings was almost an hour late as well. In fact, so many were late that Abedin left and came back. Just shaking my head over this.

Me too ... being cynical that is. More often than not, it ends up even worse than my more cynical observations.
Haven’t been a fan of the way any of these hearings have been handled. Total bs in my books.

I think it would be best to wait until all the participants get a chance to answer questions or take the fifth before deciding who gets a deal and who doesn't.
Also, I think it is just possible that a deal has already been made for immunity. Maybe several deals.

Well, I can't imagine the IT guy was doing anything other than what Hillary or Huma directed. I doubt he's an FBI target, so it makes sense to find out what he knows now, his info could push the investigation ahead by months.
And, we have no reason to suspect any immunity has been granted; no House committee has shown this kind of cleverness in the past. I think gowdy is doing as little behind the scenes as he's doing in front.

Depends. We split up witnesses all the time depending on workload and strategy. Maybe he was consumed with fine tuning his questions for his one crack at Hillary. That one is for all the marbles and she won’t cackle her way out of his interrogation. Gowdy is legit. I think he has earned the benefit of the doubt.
