It would be interesting to hear how Bill Clinton, one of the best debaters of his generation, breaks down last nights debate when he talks it over with his wife today. Id like to be there when Martin OMalley finally gets a chance to debrief with his advisers, or when Bernie Sanders returns home to find that those damn kids still wont get off his lawn.
But the most fascinating post-debate discussion today, far and away, will be the one that happens in the West Wing, when President Obama and Joe Biden sit down for their weekly lunch.
Im betting Hillary Clinton is pretty interested in that conversation too.

But the most bizarre incident of the night - maybe even more bizarre than Rick Perry's "Oops" - was when Lincoln Chafee commented about one of his votes early on as a Senator: "I had just gotten to Washington, it was my first ever vote in the Senate, my Father had just died..."
Wow...That was the moment Lincoln's political career ended. Buh bye...
Most impressive I thought was Jim Webb. I knew nothing about him going in but he sounded like a Republican almost as much as he sounded like a Democrat.
Sanders....flat out scares me. How in the world can this man draw the crowds he does? How can those people not realize that Socialism is directly in conflict with the Constitution of the United States?
He claimed several times that he is a "Democratic Socialist" - WTF does that mean??? He wants to tax Wall Street to make College completely free. Great. See how long people stay in business if that comes to pass. What are these people smoking??
Bill and Hill TALK?
Q: “Sanders....flat out scares me. How in the world can this man draw the crowds he does?”
A: Full on 32% of Americans would vote for Communism one time, knowing they were voting themselves slavery. Look at any poll ever on any question. There are always 32% who will take the most extreme leftist / communist position.
maybe just a wee bit over the top?
He was very good, to be fair. But I guess it depends how we’re defining “generation”. Clinton was/is a sleaze for sure, but he was a gifted politician.
Yep that struck me too. The open secret, if you will, is that the Clintons lead separate lives, and have for many years. The odds of them talking about this over morning coffee are very slim, because Bill isn’t with HIllary.
