Trump and Carson ahead of field...
(Excerpt) Read more at polling.reuters.com ...
I still do not understand the Carson staying power. Policy wise he is a disaster and has zero qualifications for being elected, other than being an outsider. Trump continues to be strong and the Amnestio and Fiorina bounces are over. Ted just can't get any traction despite the positive articles in the last week. Have a great night. Make America Great Again!!

I forget who has used this term the most but Carson has the “church lady” vote. If I find people who are overtly religious, they will usually be Carsonites. I continue to think, but could be wrong, that Carson is the Trump parking lot. If so, TRUMP IS OVER 50 RIGHT NOW.
Thank you for the ping...
Trumps numbers continue a BIG lead...but he’s losing ground/has peeked/is getting out, etc, etc.
How did Not Voting poll higher than Cruz??? Rubio I can understand.
Carly seems to be fizzling out. I wonder who the GOPe is going to push next?
I wonder id Carson really polls this high of if they are pumping his balloon to create a Repubs won’t elect a Black man and try to stir that pot...
Just a feeling, nothing behind many if any reports about what his “connection” is with voters...
Rubio
32.9% as of yesterday and Carson at 19.1%.
Perhaps GOP-E is quietly pushing Carson to attack Trump while knowing ultimately Carson will fall away.
Unless he can have his moment in one of the debates, I'm not sure if he can get any traction. So far the debate moderators have successfully prevented Ted from scoring any significant debate points.
Case in point in the most recent debate when Ted had a chance to differentiate himself from the rest of the field on globull warming but Tapper promptly and rudely shut him off.
Ted may just have to be more aggressive...
Like I've been saying every time I see people wonder about this, Carson has the low information stupid vote, the kind that likes Christian sounding platitudes and which every 4 years screws us over by propping weak candidates up who inevitably lose to RINOs.
I've met a few of these loathsome people, and their whole spiel consists of telling us about Ben Carson's character and his Christian bonafides. They don't care about policy and don't know much about it!
By the way, Carson is in the SDA, who have such goofy positions as: Satan will inevitably bear all our sins; hell fire is not eternal; the wicked simply cease to exist; and of course their founder was a real prophet with extra-biblical world changing revelation. (Amongst other stuff.)
He is black, conservative, religious, intelligent, polite, articulate, thoughtful, and a famous surgeon with a wonderful story of personal redemption and service. There are many Republicans who would like to vote for someone who is black to counter all the racism polemics against Republicans and Whites in general. Carson makes that easy if they are not (yet) comfortable choosing Trump. No one will criticize them for voting for such a man.
Parking Lot? They have known each other for decades.
One area that keeps picking my brain. Where exactly do the Carson live in Florida and how close is it to the Trumps ?
Morning Consult has Trump 34-21 over Carson which is in line with Reuters. Reuters and MC are internet conducted polls. They are real polls, statically valid etc just not phone polls. The CBS poll had Trump up 6 or 7. Fox has Trump up 1 over Carson. The media landline and cell phone polls have it tighter than the internet based polls. I would somewhat discount the Fox poll for their obvious bias. Id say Trump is comfortably at about 30 nationally.
OK I’m a little suspicious of this poll.
No where else have a seen Jim Gilmer with anywhere near 1.2 %
LOL!!!
Agree with you. The Democrats are not the only ones with a monopoly on stupid voters. The voters who base everything on bible verses and religious tests irritate the hell out of me and there are quite a few out there.
Link to Morning Consult crosstabs. No article up yet just the detail. Trump 34-21.

Carly must be on her way out. She’s noticeably absent from Jeb’s recent Right to Rise ad.
