Hogan also knows where the snake pits and quicksand are. He avoids touching these third rails until he has their opponents surrounded and defeated.
Local militia, most active on the eastern shore and in Western MD, are off limits in Hogan’s administration until Md’s anti 2nd amendment zealots can be overthrown. He is not looking for unwinnable battles. He does not tilt against windmills.
There are others, Squeaky in west Baltimore comes to mind, who fight a corrupt establishment and hate, hate, hate liberal corruption.
Hogan needs our prayers and our emulation.
Larry is an inspiration. He damn near took down Steny Hoyer in Maryland’s 5th District, the first year they gerrymandered Southern Maryland with Prince George’s County, where his father was the last Republican County Executive. This was the same year Democrat Parris Glendening stole the gubernatorial election from Ellen Sauerbrey with the help of dead voters in Baltimore City.
Maryland routinely delivers 20 or so counties to the GOP every election cycle, but the Free State is squeezed between two major cities, and the liberals multiply like locusts there. The largest Republican jurisdiction, Anne Arundel County (Annapolis) is carved up into FOUR congressional districts, all held by Democrats.
Not surprised that there are conservatives in this State who are Hogan Strong. Just nice to see it finally flourish.
