I talked to some Northern relatives today. Staunch democrats, sadly. They ALL say they’re voting for Trump.
I was flabbergasted! These people even hated Reagan! They’re the ones I’m not supposed to talk politics with (and they with me), per my good poor deceased mother, who made that pronouncement many decades ago!
It is my opinion (at this time, heh) that as long as Trump stays safe, he will win next year.

I do not think there was any insult in this at all, he was only confused. I read that, and almost replied that "Newfreep meant Trump, Rod" and now wished I did.
Then, you replied to him, It’s a Trump twitter - kinda obvious for most people to grasp.
Well, I thought that was a tad feisty, but Rod is a big guy and can take it. It was snarky, but not too bad. I did even surpress a chuckle but I also knew Rod's question was not an insult.
Pat, I admire you coming to Rod's defense but it all came down to confusion on both sides that I think we can put behind us.

Yes, I know all of Beck’s foibles, and I have loved him (in a Shakespearian way) and he does have issues, and he has been so brilliant, and he is a visionary, and he has been right so many times, but he does latch onto a point and he pounds it in frustration not being able to SEE! why none of us agree with him. The thing is we may agree with him, but we have no solutions.
He was all after this guy on the NRA board, the supposedly conservation Grover Norquist who was in bed with the MUslim Brotherhood and Beck would not relent. I still see some light shine through, like the recent book called “It IS about Islam”. Chapter and verse of the Quran and Sura and it is great BUT he destroys his messages by ruining his reputation and seeming MADNESS!

Beck was very good waaaay back on CNN Headline News. He had moments of brilliance on Fox.
He has allowed his emotional and/or mental disorders to take over his public life. It’s clearly not helping him, nor any cause he says he believes in.
I have some problems with Trump, but I’m keeping an open mind and when I hear Beck or others dismiss him as a joke I lose any respect I had- for any of them. It’s rare that I hear one of his detractors take him on on his ideas, instead they become as bombastic, childish and shallow as they say he’s being.

This period lasts in life just until they start working real jobs and see the difference between gross pay and take home pay. With so many of them underemployed/unemployed in the 0 Economy it is no wonder the "pro socialism" number is going up
