I think the reason the Young are so enamored of Socialism is they are the close group to childhood. Confronted by the reality of having to be productive adults, they long to prolong adolescences and go back to being taken care or by the Parents. Socialism lying promises to replace the Parents with the Government.
This period lasts in life just until they start working real jobs and see the difference between gross pay and take home pay. With so many of them underemployed/unemployed in the 0 Economy it is no wonder the "pro socialism" number is going up
