Cobb Countians sound off on Trump’s visit to Georgia
Marietta Daily Journal ^ | Jon Gillooly

Posted on 10/11/2015 4:43:40 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Cobb Countians who attended Donald Trump’s Saturday campaign stop said they left impressed and inspired by the billionaire presidential hopeful.

Lew Stafford of east Cobb, a Cobb Superior Court deputy clerk, said he hasn’t decided who to vote for, but he’s a fan of Trump.

“I think we can count on Donald Trump to pick some of the best Supreme Court justices,” Stafford said. “I think he would do well in negotiating with other countries like Russia. I think he would help keep America safe. I think he would have common sense as far as legislation he pushes.”

Debra Lieb of Marietta, a musician, came away from the rally with an autographed red hat.

“He’s just so inspiring,” Lieb said. “He’s exactly what we need. Someone who can work independently and give all the people what we need as far as building the economy and that type of thing. Every aspect of what he wants to do I agree with 300 percent.”

Wanda Becker of east Cobb, who works in the Cobb School District’s accountability and research department, said one of her favorite things about Trump is that he’s self-funding his campaign.

“He can’t be bought,” Becker said. “It leaves him free. He owes no one.”

Becker said Trump brings an energy to the race that gives her hope.

“He says things that others won’t say and things that have got to be addressed,” she said. “He has a track record in life that is desperately needed. His talents are desperately needed as the leader of our country, and I don’t see him as being just a figurehead.”

If you have face book, there is a post on there by American Freedom Fighters that says that El Capo (the big drug king pin that escaped last month) has a bounty on Trump....

I don't pay much attention to face book, I use it to keep in touch with friends I have made thru my travels, but this one caught my eye...

I to worry about Trump's security.....

I like trump but the hero worship is mind-boggling...

It's not because of who he is...It's because of what he says...Apparently what Trump says doesn't resonate with you???

According to the article, he’s been wearing a bulletproof vest. I haven’t seen anything about his appearance to suggest that. I hope it’s true, though. I’m amazed he doesn’t have SS protection yet, but I suppose his personal security is about as good.

He has recently spoken with NYPD and the FBI about El Chapo’s rumored $100 mil reward offer and has beefed up security accordingly.

I have heard him say in a number of speeches that this is not about him but about a movement.

Just that.

I do recognize the bald headed guy that is always with him, the one that escorted the Univison guy out of the speech that day....he used to be a NYPD officer of some kind, and he is a friend of Bernie Kerwick....

I've heard he's tough and he looks it...and when the protesters were there in front of Trump Towers, the guy was there also, along with a few others...

I thought it would never happen. I always figured Southern conservatives would revolt or bolt if a city Yankee was leading the GOP. I do live in interesting times. I have started doing more sky watching of lately. I have always wanted to see pigs fly and suspect the will soon.

I am not against trump but it does all seem a little odd to me. The truth is I fell it’s all been out of whack for a while.

Then that explains yesterday, I noticed he had more security than normal, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t wearing a vest...

Trump is a glad-handing type of guy, though (despite Yeb’s stupid insult) and people are between him and his security detail all the time. :/

How can a 100 million dollar bounty get paid ? It can’t.

El Chapo is too smart to go after a leading US presidential candidate. The blowback would be savage.

It would be savage...and there are a lot of people between to get to him....agreed...

Drug cartels makes billions of dollars every year...money is no object to them...look at the money that is carted out of America into Mexico by them every day across our border...

Since people enter a venue in a line, security personnel visually vet ever person who enters the building. A problem person will stand out like a sore thumb.

And once an event starts, they have eyes all over.

Not to mention that the advance team will scour the venue inside and outside ahead of time.

Trump's security team is probably better than the Secret Service...the best that money can buy.

The bounty on Trump's head is probably bogus just because who would trust El Chapo to pay up.

That said, if El Chapo wanted to arrange a hit, he would know who to contact.

And considering that Trump is going to damage El Chapo's business by building a wall, he might be motivated to take action before the election.
