Bolstering prospects for comprehensive immigration reform, Rep. Paul Ryan predicted that the Republican-controlled House would approve a so-called path to citizenship, despite conservative opposition.

Paul Ryno - treasonous poseur.
Then maybe Paul Ryan can tell us why the hell any of us should obey the law?
These globalist bozos are putting us on the road to anarchy.
Yeah, Paul, I’m sure that you and your Traitor Caucus can get it done with your Democrat cohorts.
“Ryan shrugged off opposition on the right as less potent than in the past, saying the economic and national security arguments for overhauling the system have grown stronger. He has long battled Republicans on the other side of the issue, including when he joined his mentor Jack Kemp in denouncing a 1994 California ballot initiative that barred noncitizens from receiving state social services.
“We’ve had this debate in the conservative movement for a long time,” Ryan said. “It’s better from the pro-immigration standpoint than it’s been before.”

At the same time, he rejected the charge from a variety of quartersincluding former President George W. Bushthat the stronger GOP push on the issue now stems simply from a political calculation about the need to court Hispanic voters for future elections.
“It really isn’t,” Ryan said. “If our motivation is that if we come around to this then it’s going to help us win election, then we shouldn’t bother trying. My motivation, and the motivation of the mass of the Republican Party, is that we believe in the rule of law, we believe in the need to have better security on our border, and we believe in economic growth.””
Never waver...this guy doesn’t get the gavel.
Steve King for House Speaker.
The path is through Trump’s “Really Great Door” in the border wall.
Looks like he REALLY, REALLY doesn’t want to be Speaker.

F___ you Paul Ryan!

In posting the announcement on his Twitter and Facebook pages, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) said, This is not Rep. Ryans first time in Chicago but it is his first time at a pro-immigrant event in our pro-immigrant city. Lets show Rep. Ryan an influential voice among House Republicans the enthusiasm and strength of Chicagos pro-immigrant community, and in so doing impress upon him that by standing with immigrants hes standing on the right side of history.

Kick back and wait, more of them are coming out as new chairs open and unless you are movin and shakin you have no chair...
Bet the phone lines are burning up round the world, and I love it...
They are confused and confounded...
Yup
Well, there’s your answer as to whether Ryan should be Speaker.
#&%$ NO!
Gee, I wonder why Luis Gutierrez is in favor of making Paul Ryan Speaker of the House? Mystery to me....
This Uniparty system has got to go.....
Will Amnesty supporter Trey Gowdy will take a break from his stale “country lawyer” routine to join Ryan in this assault on our homeland?
I support a path to citizenship, and I wish every single illegal in our country would take that path. We should even give them a choice that encourages that path.
Option 1: If they are caught in our country illegally, their property should be confiscated to pay the costs of due process hearings, appeals, and eventual deportation. Those deported should be barred from any path to citizenship or even legal reentry.
Option 2: If they self-deport, they should have the same opportunity to apply for legal entry as anyone else from their country. Congress should set the numbers and qualifications for legal immigration, and those who follow the law should have an opportunity to apply for citizenship at the appropriate time. That is the fairest and most just path to citizenship imaginable.
Wow, Ryan! “We believe in the rule of law.”
20 million aliens have crashed our border and broken our law. So let’s change our law so they’re no longer breaking it.
Brilliant, Ryan. That’s one reason to be glad you and your ratface sidekick didn’t get elected in 2008.
I think that any GOP speaker must promise to follow the “Hastert Rule”.
