Ben Carson departed from his no-offense campaign Friday to take a few swipes at Donald Trump, the only candidate ahead of him in the polls. Speaking at the National Press Club about racism he has faced in his life, the retired neurosurgeon said he was “very concerned about the Donald Trump people in our society.” During a question-and-answer period, Carson was asked if he would consider being Trump’s running mate. He responded by saying that he did not think he would be compatible with Trump. “I believe that Donald Trump has been very useful because he brought in a lot of people, a lot of curiosity and enthusiasm,” Carson said. “And whoever the eventual nominee is will benefit from that. But in terms of [working with] the next President, I would obviously want somebody who is compatible with me.” “The things that have to be done are very very serious things,” he added. “This can’t be tinkering around the edges… and I don’t think [Trump] has a whole lot of time to do that. So it would have to be somebody who is very compatible, somebody who understands the urgency of what we’re doing.” Carson typically avoids direct attacks on other candidates, and Trump has been defending Carson in the press for comments Carson made in the wake of the Oregon shooting suggesting that he would have been more aggressive towards the shooter.

Just what I was going to say. What does THAT mean? Wanting border control is bad? Not sucking up to the elitists in this country who are selling out this country like a cheap yard sale is bad? Wanting a tough as nails President instead of a wuss who kisses the butts of Islamo-Nazis is bad? Wanting a President who doesn’t tell our allies to go to hell is bad? This Carson is smoking crack.

Carson supporting Ryan for speaker will cause him to lose any support he might have had from conservatives.
They’re all running for the same job so it looks more like political gamesmanship to me with Carson & Cruz trying to differentiate themselves from Trump. Of course the left is always going try and make hay of something that isn’t just to advance whatever narrative they want to create.
Yup. Time to go after the front-runner. Let’s see how successful they are with that. We will see.
In fairness to both Cruz and Carson. . .recently statements that the press is touting as an “attack” on Trump is nothing more than, at this point, standard fare from fellow competitors vying for the same nomination. Of course, Carson is not going to say, “why yes, I would love to be Trump’s running mate”. .because it would suggest he is already considering throwing in the towel. Likewise, Cruz saying he doesn’t think Trump will get the nomination is nothing more than his own belief that he, Cruz, will get the nomination. . .Duh. . .fake controversy.

NRO suggested that Cruz was going to make a move (and now Carson). It must be at the behest of Barry Diller and the other puppet masters. Looks like all Trump has left is the voters.
