From what I understand Oregon outside Portland and Eugene is about as GOP as they come. Like in many states two different worlds between urban/rural divide.
Bend, maybe not so much....
Since Oregon was +12 for Obama in 2012, it’s obvious the city population predominates.
It’s the influence of the U. of O., OSU and PSU. Otherwise, it’s pretty normal.
Like Pennsylvania (Philly & Pittsburgh with Americans in between)...
Well, I don't know if they're "GOP", but most of the Pac Northwest is Conservative once you get out of Seattle/Portland and other big cities.
If Portland disappeared tomorrow, the state would be solid
red. We hate jugears with a passion, along with the EPA, BLM, and the Forest Service.
“Like in many states two different worlds between urban/rural divide.”
True. Except for Baltimore and the DC suburbs, Maryland is really NOT “The Freak State” at all! Outside of NYC, Buffalo and Ithaca, New York is quite conservative. Same with California outside L.A. and S.F.
