turns out her Mom has had a stroke.

Dang, must be the year or something. My younger sister had one not long ago. Thankfully, it was a mini-stroke and except for the fuzzy vision in her left eye and slower memory recall, she's fine. The doctors are still trying to find the cause.
Wish them the best of luck.

All is well. I'm starting to feel the retirement peace.
Soon, I'll turn of duties to replacement and will monitor until my last day.

You had to get up early today? Why, you should be practicing for retirement by sleeping in to noon. 2 more weeks until the big day, how's the training going?

Nothing much going on with me this weekend; I was going to work on doing a sealing job on my ex's back deck but rain put a hold on that.

I finally got to talk to Mom yesterday. She seems better, but her life has been a roller coaster since my Dad passed away.

I’ll call her again today and report!

I got a month-long contract to prepare somebody for a big audition.

It will put food on the table, but it is hard work, as the poor girl suffers from nearly clinical depression.

Training is going well. Putting her in the driver's seat next Tuesday. Told govyboss that the 22nd will be my last day here. Next, will tell my supervisor.

We sure did and I just came back from running the pickup around town to make sure it was running OK. I filled it up with gas yesterday evening and this morning, it started with just one turn of the key.

So, it looks like the gas is going into the engine at a study stream. Good deal for this Friday.

BTW, regarding the trip to Billingsley Ford this week. They kept the pickup for a day to fix the oil leak and to check on the cold start problem. One thing they did do was replace the fuel filter.

Now, I don't know that it solved the cold start problem completely but, the pickup seems to be running well since the service so we'll see.

And, of course, it's OU-Texas weekend. Lots going on.
