This is excellent. Ted Cruz masterfully debates Sierra Club President, Aaron Mair, on Climate Change, asking him about the objective data that shows no significant warming trend in the last 18 years. But Mair only wanted to focus on a study that he agrees with, that says 97 percent of scientists say the earth is cooking or something and claims the science is settled and no longer up for debate. It was pathetic.
Cruz took him apart, exposing the fact that he doesn’t know what the heck he’s talking about, and then schooled a Democrat who objected.

Ted Cruz is a master debater and has had a lot of training. That Sierra Club dude could not do anything except ask for help from his staff and/or regurgitate talking points.

Cruz is brilliant here, though he should have dissected the utterly bogus 97% claim more fully in his conclusion.

I wish Cruz would have taken the opportunity to rip open just how they came about that 97% bs.
From seeing a local Sierra Club rep argue before a zoning board in favor of wind turbines, they seem to have nothing but a small list of talking points that they defer to for every question.
They know the words, but they have no clue what they mean.

That appears to be correct. It’s not surprising. My friend is a biologist and has a son who is a physicist working for a genome sequencing company.
Let me say, both are atheists, both are politically liberal. Both support the man-made climate change premise and have no interest in considering contrary evidence.
Have you ever looked at the history of where the 97% number comes from? It’s an entertaining waste of time. Needless to say it’s totally contrived and complete bs.
Note: Cruz does his job in the Senate and runs for president.
This is a man of energy and principle.
