The way I understand it, Trump wanted to build something someplace and attempted to obtain the land in question. The landowner refused the offer so Trump availed himself of the court system. Maybe he succeeded, maybe he didn't. I don't profess to know how the situation turned out.There's no excuse for a Freeper to be ignorant in 2015. You could have tried Google:

Sneak preview, the property owner won. And yes, I CAN fault a businessman for taking "all legal avenues" when those avenues are unjust and wrong.
Point is, I didn't care to know. And the fact that Trump did not prevail in that particular case is fine. He went through the proper process. When you are a land developer, you are not going to win every time. You will get turned down a lot by zoning boards, courts, etc.
I think Trump wanted to build the tallest building in the world on the West Side but was turned down. So...he built a bunch of buildings that were shorter. So it goes.
