I don't believe any of the GOP candidates can beat Trump at this time!
For awhile it looked like Carson had a shot but he is stepping in it bigtime on the Second Amendment again.

Really? What is Carson saying now???
Could this possibly fall under the category of: “Never take advice from your enemy.” Naah!
Nice to see the orders for ‘conservative’ members of the uniparty actually out in the open.. Trump is really shaking them.
I'd put a qualifier on that statement: I wonder if any of the GOP candidates can defeat Trump at this time without alienating so many voters that they'd never win the Presidency.
Jeb waited too long. Trump's going to get credit for ending the nightmare possibility of a Jeb Presidency. I hope that means all of the wannabees will now play nice and be hoping for the VP nod.
My 2 cents.
I, too, cant trust Carson on guns.
He has done that like three times.
Too bad cuz on everything else I think he`s great.
This author is among the earliest calling for the “Rational Thing;” i.e for Bush to withdraw. Bush should wish to be remembered as a successful state governor rather than a miserably failed Presidential candidate.
Go Jeb and take your Mini Me Rubio with you
Carson, on occassion, is too intellectual for the American people in our irrationally politically correct social petri dish of a nation. Americans no longet have a logical and moral compass on which to base some reasoned rational (premise) and be led to a logical conclusion.
For instance: When teaching a kid to swim, you should not need to explain the process of “holding one’s breath” when they go under water. They instinctively know that humans can’t breath water.
Carson “stepped on it” by supporting the same position supported by the NRA?

No Jeb, don’t quit, stick around and get totally destroyed so that no bush ever again runs for any public office.
I want rubio, paul and bush to stay till there is nothing left of them and as for that broad, well, just give her mike time and she will destroy herself.
Keep in mind, the only reason for this article is the fear of Trump winning. Otherwise, this same publication would have an opposite opinion. Hence, there is no honest consideration of what is best for the country, let alone what is best for the Republican Party. They are now solidly in fear of Trump becoming President, not just winning the primary.
I don't think this is accurate. I do think GWB was not as great as he could have been, and I definitely think he was less than resolute on some issues I care about...
But "despised?" That's a pretty strong word. I can almost guarantee that, had 911 happened under Obama's watch, he wouldn't have had GWB's visceral desire to protect the nation and rally the nation/world against OBL. Despite his failings, Bush's response after 911 prevent me from "despising" him.
Bush should withdraw.
He phrased it differently. He said it wrong, hence my previous post. The media was able to re-contexualize it and it sticks. He leaves out the statement of the premise of his arguments now and then. The dems always include a premise as they make their political points. Except theirs are almost always a false premise that the media and GOP never call them on.
"Because guns kill so many people, we need to have more gun control laws." GOP argues, "We don't need more gun control laws." instead of "Guns don't kill people any more than fish, snowcones, automobiles, marshmellows, knives, bats or automobiles. CRIMINALS use guns to kill people. Regulate the criminals not the guns or the people."
