Should we care if Kelly Ayotte is re-elected? (Nope!)

New Hampshire Republican Kelly Ayotte is facing a tough challenge from Governor Maggie Hassan. Polls show that the two are virtually tied. The question I need you to help me with is...should we care?

Polls have showed the popular Hassan running close with Ayotte in early matchups; Ayotte had a 3-point lead in an NBC News/Marist poll in early September. But Ayotte starts with a $5 million head start: The Republican will have raised $1.6 million in the third quarter, according to a campaign source. That's a slight uptick from the $1.4 million Ayotte raised in the second quarter.

"Unfortunately, Sen. Ayotte has stood with special interests," Hassan said. "She has voted to cut Pell grants for college students. She has voted to make Medicare a voucher system and to erode Social Security benefits. And she's voted to defund Planned Parenthood. She has stood with special interests rather than the people of New Hampshire. I'll put New Hampshire first, and that's what this campaign will be about."

If only. Ayotte may have well voted for these things in symbolic, standalone votes, but she never voted for these things when they mattered, when real budget bills or debt ceilings were being debated.

Kelly Ayotte is a Mega-Rino.

If I lived in New Hampshire, I would vote for the democrat.

Because an enemy in front of me, than a traitor behind me.

If you can't do better, at least she's got pretty eyes

and is otherwise not guilty, with a sense of humor

It does not really matter at all. The next Congress is going to be as Democrat as this one is Republican, Republican inclined voters will not be terribly excited about voting this cycle after the last two elections. It doesn't matter who one votes for or which candidate wins, a functioning Democrat goes to Congress. It is arguably better when the Democrats in Congress are wearing the Democrat brand.

The likelihood of a Democrat Congress in 2017 is a major recommendation for electing Trump as President. He has the moxie to be able to deal with a fanatically oppositional Congress. But he needs Cruz at his side as VP to provide Conservative and Constitutional mooring and direction.

Kelly Ayotte looks like my wife.

(She doesn't like the comparison.)

This whole “gotta vote for the electable candidate” and so-called “big tent” conservatism has given us what we have today - a corrupt, inept McConnell-led congress that refuses to defend the Constitution, refuses to use its power of the purse, and refuses to file Articles of Impeachment against Obama.

Meanwhile, the GOPe sandbags and backstabs True Conservatives every time it gets the opportunity.

I refuse to cooperate in this fool’s game any more. The GOPe has got to go. If that means we might get some real democrats instead of more fake conservatives (read GOPe) in office, so be it.

I do not believe, as many do, that Kelly Ayotte was “elected by the Tea Party”. She was a fair Attorney General, ran as a RINO, and was elected as such.

However, her falling in with McCain and Graham was unexpected. It’s understandable that a brand-new Senator would look around and look for friends, but someone of Senatorial stature is not supposed to act like a doormat.

Lately, she’s been playing kindergarten teacher as Senator.

She’s OK on veteran’s issues (that is, unless you think veterans want to keep their country like the rest of us do).

Getting out of bed to vote for her will be tough. Guess it depends on the weather.

Being ousted from office, she’ll have plenty of time to get the crackle in her voice fixed.

It doesn’t matter that she would add to the Republican numbers if elected. She won’t be elected. Nor will many of the other turncoats who rode into Congress on the Tea Party train. Voting for Republicans for Congress is going to be a low priority with conservative voters this cycle.

Wow. Another lying Republican in conservative clothing.

New Hampster is not conservative. That live free or die crap looks good on the license plate is fine. But it is really an extension of MA up until about Concord. There just are not enough folks in the top of the state to matter.

She ran as a conservative. I watched her race closely. Palin flew in to help her. The way she flipped once in D.C. was criminal. She’s a puppet of McCain & Graham, hence she’s worthless.
