There won’t be a lot of folks that want to volunteer for the “door to door” confiscation after a couple of ambushes occur. And they will.

It will be done through the IRS, i.e. taxation. You can keep your weapons but must pay a tax on them. Failure to pay the tax will be VERY costly.
There will also be visits from the EPA because the ammunition consist of known toxins (lead). If you have been buying ammunition beyond a "reasonable" level, i.e. more than 1 box per month, you will need to submit to regular, unannounced toxic material inspections.
There will be no large scale confiscation but there WILL be a death by a thousand cuts.
