Denmark has a problem: At some (still quite distant) point in the future, its population will disappear because people aren't having enough babies.
Now, the Danish travel company Spies says it might have found a solution. Its campaign "Do it for Mom" encourages wannabe grandmothers and grandfathers to "sponsor" trips abroad for their adult children. Studies have shown that Danes have much more sex when they are on vacation.
"Send your child on an active holiday and get a grandchild within nine months," the company says on its Web site.
"The Danish welfare system is under pressure. There are still not enough babies being born, despite a little progress. And this concerns us all," a video for the campaign states. Denmark has one of the world's most generous welfare systems, and it will need more young workers to help pay for it.

A daring, do, digerati....
No, of course not. But the sheer number of dead young males caused a big imbalance of men and women in France, Germany, Belgium, England and other countries. If you are a young female and cannot find a mate, that tends to skew attitudes toward marriage, progeny, and the future in general. These attitudinal shifts probably helped steer Western Europe away from traditional Christian families with children.
In this age of Democrats/liberals and unlimited sexual activities, I think an appropriate appeal for more Danish babies would be “DO IT TO MOM”. After all, she’s had some practice in the past.
I still remember a guy I was in the mainres with that wen to Embassy school, got posted to Copenhagen. Everyone want to kill the bastard, as we were all going on an all expense paid trip to SE Asia.
Guy’s name was Riddington, would love to find out how he made out (no pun intended) in that rough duty station.
So is really it because they are worried about dying out as a nation or is it about getting more people to pay taxes to support the government’s existence?
The sheer imbalance of the genders meant - in this case - that there were more (marriagable) women than men. Which, according to your statement, would have skewed attitudes towards marriage, etc. I therefore think that you meant to say "young male and cannot find a mate."
However, I would rephrase that thought: Men were a scarce resource, thus had more "leverage," and could therefore "set the rules of the game" (= fun, with no long-term attachment).
However, I don't think that that was the true cause - then. Rather, It occurred only in the late-1960s, when - for demographic reasons (baby boom - lots of marriagable young women, too few men a couple of years older - thus forced to "play the young man's game").
Regards,
The latter, of course. Nationalism is racist, after all.
Hey Conservatives! The best legacy you can leave on this world and in the eyes of God is raise a bunch of little conservatives. If you are unwilling to put in the hard family raising work then YOU LOSE, and so do we. Now go and romance for a renaissance!
The Church attendance rate is “Under 5%,” and while nearly 80%are still Lutheran (followed by 13% unaffiliated and 4% Muslim) only 25% believe that Jesus was the Son of God, and only 18% believe that He is the saviour of the world. There are many Lutherans they might convert to Christianity, as well as Muslims.
Romance for a renaissance at least five times.
The Danes are birth controlling themselves out of existence.
Like fire, sex is powerful and it also easily wreaks havoc out of the context it was created to have.
Much of “Christendom” could stand to become actually Christian. I hope it does, it would be insane to hope otherwise.
My dear, you were good but not a great Dane.
This was the response I got when I asked...
Such smart Danes. High literacy rate, college enrollees rate, preparing for your stellar futures, except there really ends up being no future at all for you.
So... ~62% of Lutherans in Denmark do not believe Jesus is the Savior.
That’s not much of a Lutheran...
I'm sure the reason was because a good portion of Icelanders are related. They knew they needed new genes.
I’d be asking “what is the rate of immigration by foreigners” myself.
