The conventional wisdom is that Vladimir Putin has blindsided Barack Obama in the Middle East, catching the U.S. off-guard. Its another Obama failure, were told. Obama administration scrambles as Russia attempts to seize initiative in Syria, is how a Washington Post headline described it. A popular cartoon shows Putin kicking sand in the faces of Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry on a beach. - snip - Heres how her story began: Moscows rapid military buildup in Syria is a result of the reset in relations forged with the Russian and Iranian governments by the Barack Obama administration. The dealreshaping alliances and conditions from Syria, Iran and the rest of the Middle East to Ukraine and surrounding regionis the cornerstone of U.S. imperialisms efforts to establish a new order in the Mideast, but from a much weaker position than when the now-disintegrating order was imposed after World Wars I and II.

Just a different take to think about.
After studying history for lo these many decades I have come to believe that you never know the ‘Rest of the Story” until long after the events happen. Secret protocols and under the table deals are the mothers milk of international politics. Believe little of what you see and none of what is said.
Israel will wait, hoping for a conservative, constitutional presidency in the US, before bombing Iran back to the stone age.
Meanwhile Putin exposes Obama’s policy of leading from behind by destroying ISIS’ ability to control any territory in a mere few weeks.
The article conclusively demonstrates Obama’s Marxist world view. He has been a nieve Trotskyite since his college days. That we have been so thoroughly invaded by communism is a testimony to the weakening of intellectual rigor in our universities and a substitution of the search for the truth with PC attitudes in the press. It will require a monumental groundswell of opposition to these nefarious influences to overcome them.
The two pump handshake between Obama and Putin - with Putin checking with some cameraman in the audience to make sure the cameras were rolling was old school KGB ... One pump - stand down ... two pumps - start your engines... and off they flew to Syria... (of course with so much borderline weird stuff happening it could all be tin foil... )

We’ve been Saudi Arabia’s proxy for decades.
FACTIONS FIGHTING IN SYRIA:
Islamic State (ISIS)............A mainly Sunni Islamist terror group, including tens of thousands of foreign fighters, which has moved into large swathes of Syria.
Syrian government............Bashar al-Assad.... His government considers all rebel groups now as terrorists and that his country has been overrun with terrorists.
Moderate Syrian rebels......Backed by the USA...to unseat Assads Government...Regime change... Known as the Free Syrian Army....most have run to Europe or in Jordon and Turkey as refugees.
Jadhat al-Nusra......An Islamic terrorist rebel group affiliated with Al Qaeda.
Hezbollah.....Lebanons Shi'ite group Hezbollah, backed by Iran, fights with the Syrian army.
Islamic Front.....An alliance of seven terrorist groups who want to create an Islamic state but criticize ISIS for its brutal tactics.
US, UK, Saudi and other coalition forces....The coalition forces are fighting to defeat ISIS and oust Assad.
Russia.....Putin says Russia is attacking ISIS and supporting Assad.
Iran....Iranian troops have joined government forces and Hezbollah in 'a ground offensive' backed by Russian air strikes.... Iran wants to defeat ISIS and prop up Assad.
This event was no small peanuts..... especially since Putin made a point to “invite” the US to share this intelligence.
Obama.does.not.want.to.destroy.ISIS.
Hope that Russia does. However, it will be the end of US influence in the Middle East.
And just how has US influence worked out in the Middle East lately?
[and 85-90% of the world's Muslims are Sunni, IOW, Shiites kill twice as many per capita]
