DeRay McKesson, one of the top organizers for the Black Lives Matter movement, is seeking a meeting with presidential aspirant Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). The request for a meeting follows comments in which Rubio seemed to lend his personal support to the groups anti-cop rhetoric.
In a recent tweet, McKesson said, @MarcoRubio, I just saw your recent interview re: the movement. Will you meet to discuss the issues, and solutions, further?
...
Rubio said that concerns held by the controversial protesters are legitimate and suggested that resentment for law enforcement was understandable.

The article reminds us that he supported sanctuary cities in FL while he was speaker of the FL House of Representatives.
Good idea.
Long time since I looked it up but I believe while speaker he blocked some amnesty related bills from reaching the floor. He makes a perfect GOPee candidate.
Rubio, Rubio
galloping ‘round the track.
Rubio, Rubio,
has Jeb Bush’s back.
He’ll run with the dogs,
who’d kill all the cops,
Rubio, Rubio,
Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
[Apologies to Dennis Moore]
Not only is there a Cheap Labor Express, but there is also a Pander Express, too.
And although it doesn’t serve chinese food, it’s okay, because marco and rand love to eat there anyway.
So he thinks BLM terrorists are cool?
Marco Rubio will never get my vote.
Especially when you hang out with a black racist thug like Al Sharpton.
Not the kind of company decent people should keep.
This excerpt from the article supports you:
As Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, Rubio allowed legislation to die which would have clamped down on the states sanctuary citiesa move that has allowed Miami to become one of the nations most steadfast protectors of illegal immigrant criminals. This move won the praise of activists. Arturo Vargas, the executive director for the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, said in 2010, [Rubio] as speaker, kept many of those from coming up to a vote
We were very proud of his work as speaker of the House.
Rubio is a Jeb Mini Me.
I don’t want him anywhere near the White House.
whod kill all the cops,
Rubio, Rubio,
Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
Rubio probably liked the movie about the thug rappers 'straight outta compton'.
I think pandering to actual citizens is probably better than pandering to illegal aliens, not that either one is a good thing.
rubio seems to sympathize with them.
he first expressed these views on that maggot kelly file show, as per the article.
You mean pandering to the crazed cop killer crowd?
That’s a step below pandering to illegals.
If Rubio is running for street cred as President of Da Hood, its a mega-fail.
Not what we need in a President.
What could sharpton actually want with Rand Paul, who ain’t all that rich? sharpton is a shakedown artist, who should be spending his time shakin’ down more profitable targets — err — clients.
"Rubio explained that addressing this legacy of racial discrimination will require government intervention, evidently in addition to existing programs such as affirmative action : We do have to address it. A lot of it involves government action. A lot of it involves societal action as well. And I hope well take that seriously.
Rubio, the new Jeb Bush.
given both rubio’s cuban ethnicity and the supposed mutha lode of political demographics — the hispanics — it’s not too much of a stretch for rubio to pander in this way.
However, it’s his pandering to disaffected African Americans in the inner cities which makes less sense. I see no upside for him there. It’s a ‘move to the center’ play, and it is too early in the campaign season for such a thing.
If black lives matter - let them take their down & pony show to Chicago - where 2,000 have been killed so far this year...Chicago - with the strictest of gun laws.
rubio's boyz in da DC 'hood gots to get paid.
More work for DC and its inhabitants.
They need to keep feeding that real-estate bubble (both commerical and residential) in the Beltway.
I didn’t say it is a good thing. I said it makes more sense to pander to citizens who can actually vote than it does to pander to illegals.
