I heard this exchange. The 2nd amendment guy had a British accent. When he finally pinned Halperin what he would do, Halperin shot back he wasn’t a “Policy expert... I’m a journalist “ and wasn’t an expert in this field. And then he criticized the British guy for his “tone.”
Nike chimed in an she said she liked what they did in Washington, but had no specifics, but she agreed with Biden.
That conversation exposed they were ready to lay blame but couldn’t give a solution, because, and this is my theory, they mentioned young men, and once you start going into the statistics, they will have to reveal that their favorite aggrieved minority groups will be exposed, and as wells as new ones like crazies, leftist crackpots, and homosexuals with a suicide plan.

A condition precedent for any proposal should be recognition of the inherent natural right of self-defense that has a position superior to any government rule or law. Therefore in the New World, the militia became the total male population of a community, which could be counted on for defense.
For the United States then protecting Constitutional guarantees regarding firearms in common usage would be paramount for allowing only the most promising and durable proposals regarding guns to survive. A focus on personal freedom would likely lead to a focus on predators and criminals, and not revive the failed strategies previously implemented. Those granted positions of authority would proceed with fear and trembling always holding in tension personal freedom with the demonstrated condition of man.
Unfortunately today this nice abridgement from the Miracle at Philadelphia is so often disregarded that I personally have little hope left.
