Donald Trump today suggested that bringing Syrian refugees would bring about a “military coup” in the United States.
Trump spoke with Fox’s Eric Bolling on Cashin’ In for the full half-hour, and when Bolling brought up the subject of the Syrian refugee crisis, Trump again expressed his deep skepticism about potentially bringing ISIS fighters amongst the ranks of refugees into the United States.
He even went so far as to suggest to Bolling “this could be one of the greatest military coups of all time.”
Bolling suggested a possible “Trojan horse” and Trump agreed, adding that the U.S. would be “totally unprepared” were any of the refugees to actually be connected to ISIS.
Good for Trump!
Yes, I thought the headline could be very misleading.
The headline did make it sound for a minute that the military would say, enough is enough, and act to protect the country.
But we have to be careful what we wish for.
I have to say, even 10 years ago, I would never even think such a thing.

And no way for them to fix them, significant retrenching going on as the program is not working as planned and there was no contingency plan for failure
They went all in and God was waiting, it will get bumpy for a bit but they will pay heavy price, and it will go on for years as the rocks are all turned over

I am as opposed to Syrian refugees as anyone. I would strongly prefer that we take 0 refugees. I fear what they may do once here, up to, and including nuclear terrorism.
But trump ought to learn how to use the language correctly. That the Syrians are a denger, there is no doubt. But a military coup is when a country’s own military overthrown from within the previously legitimate government of the country.
We could face many things from the Syrians: terrorism; failure to assimilate; if it led to further moslem immigration to our country, the islamification of our culture; but a military coup d’etat is not one of them. I don’t see large numbers of American generals and admirals, colonels and captains, etc., moving to overthrow our government.
I don’t think that’s what trump meant, I think he meant, possibly, some sort of military invasion on the part of ISIS by smuggling in fighters in the 200,000.
That’s a “military invasion,” not a “military coup.”
If he’s going to be president, he should learn the meanings of words. This is worse than Jeb conducting his campaign in Spanish. Trump is speaking gibberish; at least for those who understand spanish, Jeb is comprehensible (although his words in any language are unacceptable as US policy).
