Minority students in some San Mateo and Santa Clara County school districts were asked to repeat Algebra 1 when they entered high school even though the students passed the class in 8th grade, according to a report.
A report funded by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation says that math misplacement was done with minority students in a disproportionate number over white students. You’re only detailing the failure of the liberals to bring about improvement in the lot of a people group that they have subjected to the soft bigotry of low expectations.
The "Stand and Deliver" movie was an example of what can be accomplished when expectations are kept high and both students and teachers make an effort to achieve success. You don't get that kind of result in classrooms full of feral thugs who don't want to be in the room. Decent students and teachers flee from those environments.

Didn't you get the memo?? LOL

If they raised the hourly by $1 they would keep more new hires who would actually perform and the total cost of the approximately $1100 per new hire for background checks, drug tests, uniforms, etc, would be immensely reduced. I used to hope for that raise in pay but now prefer it to stay as it is. With another dollar an hour I would be stuck at 32-40 hours a week and much less money. The District Manager and had a conversation about all this. He said finally that an accountant, to get a job at the company needn't know how to add and subtract.
