On CNN right now, one person is reporting that a number of military veterans were present at the community college at the time of the shooting earlier today. They report that the veterans wanted to leave the classroom to try and stop the shooter, but the staff at the college stopped them from leaving the classroom. An audio recording of the incident indicates that it took five minutes from the initial radio call for the police to engage the shooter.
Yeah, sadly that is kind of the common situation with modern police... far cry from the posse of old.
I don’t know how it is in the colleges, but I know in elementary and high schools, it’s, lock down, cover down, quite down. Something like that.
If a lock down is called, as a teacher (I’m a sub), I’m supposed to lock the doors, cover the windows, herd the students into a corner so we can wait to see what happens. No one is allowed into or out of the campus.
In AZ a CCW holder can keep a gun in a locked car in the parking lot of a school. Lot of good it would do anyone because if you manage to get out, you’re not going to get back in.
It burns me up to no end that we have become a nation that doesn’t know how to stand up and fight anymore. Breaks my heart that this guy, who ever he is, had free reign. Should have let the veterans handle it.

Reportedly the victims were asked their religion? Have there been any reports what they answered and who was shot and who wasn’t by religion.

Every time there is a mass shooting along these lines I think of the BATFE/Jimmy Shifflett false flag event in the book “Enemies Foreign and Domestic”.
With every real world shooting the scenario seems to play out as if it was scripted.
The closer we get to Obama’s scheduled departure from the White House the more nervous I get.
He has made no secret of his determination to check off a few more items on his Legacy Bucket list - Like closing GITMO and implementing gun control.
I fully expect that when he feels the time is right he will implement some sort of serious gun control or gun confiscation measure by executive order.
The question is, does he (and do his followers in government) feel strongly enough about the issue to precipitate a false flag event if natural events don’t present the opportunity they are looking for?
I guess time will tell.
But on other issues, like illegal immigration and amnesty, he has shown that he will not be hindered in his actions by legalities or constitutional concerns.
I think the shooter is either black or muslim. The way the media refuse to show us name or picture of this person for so long
I expect that Trump has connections who can get the truth to him ASAP. I hope he releases a strong statement ASAP and gets a jump on everyone else.
Family notifications, investigations into if there was an accomplice, possible bombs, specific targets. Takes awhile before any info can actually be released by the authorities. All we have right now are internet investigators.
The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.

Yeah. I would expect our vets to do the right thing and not let a few school staff weenies to stand in their way. Or... maybe they did. God knows that the military has been wussified over the past decade.
After every mass shooting people on this board say the exact same thing. And is almost always a young white male. The demographic trend is not in your favor.

I heard one account from someone there who was outside, and said an administrator told everyone to follow him inside and locked the door. No way I would ever do that. I’ll take my chances staying outside and running away from the gunfire, thanks.

That reminds me of people telling people to stay in place after the second plane hit the second Twin Tower. No common sense.

When I went to grade school back in the cold war days we were taught to hide from 50 Megaton Soviet nukes by squeezing under our $5.00 wooden desks.
He’s already made points in the past about how taking guns from honest people would do nothing about attacks like this.
Probably told if they subdued the shooter without any further blood spilled, they’d still be expelled and maybe even face trumped-up charges for no good reason.
Nobody has given a description of this person!
