The truth is, Progressive Leftists are opposed to individual liberty as defined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The only real complaint they have about chattel slavery in America two hundred years ago is that the slaves were privately owned.
But they get orgasmic over the idea of slavery to the state.
Democrats never pass up on opportunity to tell us why enslavement by the state is for our own protection and our own safety, because life under the anarchy that conservatives want to impose is just too risky and dangerous. We can't have any of that inhumane "on-your-own economics" that conservatives advocate.
The Democrats are truly the Uncle Tom party.
This is so stupid - as if the Democrats of today have anything to do with the reconstruction and Jim Crow South Democrats, as if by joining a party you acquire its long-dead members DNA or something.
Since 1964-5, the Democratic Party has been pro-black. Blacks have benefited tremendously from their support for the modern Democratic Party, which support is goal-directed and highly rational.
It cracks me up that so many Republicans and some conservatives believe they can talk blacks off of the gravy train that the Democratic Party has become for them. “Hey, have you read Murray Rothbard? Why don’t you give up that Federal management job, or that EBT card?”
Absurd.
Since 1964 the Democratic Party has literally destroyed the black community. The two hallmarks of Blacks in America, their church and their family...destroyed.
Reconstruction was they pinnacle for Democratic Party, at least the blacks knew who their enemy was.
BTW, the Democratic war on blacks continued well into the 20 century; Wilson, Dyer amendment, Bilbo, Klanbake, etc
DemocRATS are as dependent on the black vote as blacks are on DemocRATS.
If the 'RAT party gets anything less than 90% of the black vote, it will cease to exist.
They must see that happening and that is why they are trucking in, flying in, training in Mexicans, Central Americans and Middle East "refugees" by the millions.
Can you please give us the year and publication in which the cartoon you posted appeared? What specific event, if any, is it in reference to? Is that supposedly Lincoln sitting on the chair with the flag draped over the back? And what are those papers on the floor supposed represent?
Also the party of Margaret Sanger and Jim Crow.
Harper’s Weekly, October 31, 1874.
“A cartoon in the popular Harpers Weekly magazine shows black citizens being denied the right to vote by the White Citizens League.”
The White League was just one of the terrorist arms of the Democratic Party.
I believe it is after Reconstruction around 1874 when the WHITE LEAGUE and the Democrats came back into power. The man in the chair is NOT Lincoln. The caption is “Everything points to a Democratic victory this fall-Southern Papers.” Notice the black man has a Republican Ticket and is not allowed to vote.
It’s not stupid, it’s correcting the record. A local democrat leader, a former teacher, was telling me the KKK were republicans. That is how brainwashed many democrats are.
The party of slavery, the KKK, segregation, dependency, institutional poverty, Affirmative Action, inferior schools, Westboro, etc.
On purpose.
Carson is absolutely right about this.
The Dhimmicraps have never been pro-black. They still regard black people as property — THEIR property — and they will keep them enslaved to Dhimmicrap politicians for as long as they can.
They regard a black conservative or even a black Republican, such as Clarence Thomas, Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Allen West, Alan Keyes, Mia Love, even a Michael Steele, as theft of their property and if they could figure out a way to enact a modern Fugitive Slave Law to force these people back onto the Dhimmicrap plantation, they would pass it in a heartbeat.
Yes, it’s political codependency, and codependency is a harmful thing.
And Westboro.
