At this point theres no point in aggregating ever last this and that about Ahmed Mohamed, especially since this is the newspaper that has Avi Selk on the payroll. But a reader did forward a Facebook post in which you might be interested and, no, not Mark Zuckerbergs, but an overnight post from Apple co-founder (and Midlake fan) Steve Wozniak.
Related Irving 9th-grader goes from handcuffed to hero over homemade clock frenzy GOP candidates weigh in on Ahmed Mohamed arrest for hoax bomb Editorial: Overreaction in clock-bomb mix-up has chilling effect It began with a few sentences in which The Man Called Woz recounts his origin story, before he met Steve Jobs and crafted that garage myth. Wrote Wozniak, without mentioning Ahmed by name:
The story about the kid arrested for making a clock takes me back to high school in 1967. I built an electronic metronome and placed it in a friends locker, along with a tin-foil switch to speed up the ticking when the locker was opened. I couldnt hold my laughter when Principal Bryld told me how he extracted the bomb, ran out to the football field (from the C building), and dismantled it. I wound up spending a night in juvie. I did teach other inmates there how they could remove the electric wires from an overhead fan and attach them to the metal bars no shock the guards. And that could have been the end of it a retelling of the origin story also found in Walter Isaacsons Steve Jobs biography. But instead, Wozniak responded to fans who thumbsed-up the well-known story.
Wrote one Steven Schuster of Racine, Wisconsin: Sounds like you could have gone either way.

Just noticed you pinged me.
When I met him, 30 years ago, I felt like an idiot.
This guy has an amazing brain and just the best disposition.
A nobody?
There is no Steve Jobs without Woz.
Woz invented the Apple, Jobs was the salesman.
“Another reason to stay away from Apple products. How detached and disassociated must one be?...”
*******************************************************************************************************
Wozniak IS a complete idiot and lacks all understanding of this fraud. He likely only “knows” what he has seen in the mainstream media which depicts this room temperature IQ kid as an oppressed genius instead of the fraud he is.
That being said, Wozniak has nothing to do with current Apple products...they are way beyond the things he is capable of creating. So the idiot Wozniak is not a reason to avoid Apple products.
1. Looked Like a Bomb
2. Ahmed Didn't Invent Anything
Ahmed, his sister and father are antagonist, looking for trouble, only to calm racism.
How quickly they learn.
So, Clockmed opens up an off-the-shelf digital clock, extracts the circuit board and display, sticks those in a metal briefcase, and he’s a “genius”? Really? How the hell has the U.S. gotten so completely stupid, and why is the media going along with this utter nonsense?

Woz absolutely does not hate America.
He loves the US of A but, has a different take on things that makes him eccentric...like a lot of wealthy people...LOL
Hey, that's what Samsung did!
Regardless, Ahmed is following in Obama's footsteps, faking every so-called "accomplishment". And Wozniak got suckered by this faker.
Apple: There is a reason their devices only have one button.
Uhmmmm...Wrong.
Woz still has input into products, just not from a direct corporate level...
What a turd!
All that was living has addled his brain.
In which case, I am also a highly prolific author.
Mr Wazznoikee,
There is no excuse for this idiocy.
There’s two kinds of people in this world: educated and unducated.
One of them has a legitimate excuse. You, on the other hand, you are educated and you’re STILL an idiot!
Thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
No doubt about it, plain stupid.

I don’t think these kids got invited to the White House
By all accounts you’re right. He used to Segway past our house all the time on his way to the Apple store downtown, and the staff there seemed to think he was a pretty nice guy.
But there can only be two reasons for Woz to say what he did about this Ahmed kid. One of those doesn’t speak well for his intentions.
I’m not impressed with the Iphone. I miss my Samsung.
People standing in line to be stupid in public.
samsung Tv’s have the best pictures, by far, of any boobtoobs on display at either Sears or BestBuy
When Segway came out, he started a Polo team for Segway.
Shortly after that I introduced him to a friend. Beautiful, Blonde and makes mens heads turn.
They were engaged for a short time but, ultimately the whole Beauty and The Beast thing belongs in story books.
Came to her house one night and he was demonstrating Segways. Helped my Dad learn how to ride and afterward, Woz and I loaded four of them things into his Prius.
He had it down to a science and we got em in just fine.
I said something funny about the Prius/Segway thing but, forget what was and he couldn’t stop laughing.
Just a great guy.
