As Donald Trump's campaign for the White House kicks into high gear, the bombastic billionaire will be jetting across America on his private Boeing 757-200 airliner. Unlike most presidential candidates, The Donald actually owns his campaign plane.
"Trump Force One" as some have dubbed the jet will be one of the most visible symbols of Trump's run for the Oval Office.
Trump has owned the Boeing airliner registration N757FA since 2011 and has customized the aircraft to his liking.

Who needs a Gulfstream, when you can have an airliner for cheap, without the Gulfstream maintenance rigor, that will bankrupt any company.
Are you sure he doesn't still own the 727 in addition to the 757? There was a news story just last month that said Donald Trump's 727 transported a child with a rare medical disorder to New York, because none of the airlines would allow the child to fly due to the medical equipment the boy required.

He used to own an airline called "Trump Shuttle" that he had bough from the Eastern Airlines shuttle. That's where he got his 727. I don't thing he had a personal former airliner aircraft prior to that. It was pretty hard to pick up used 707's after the early 1980's, because the US Air Force bought most of the ones that came on the market to use as parts to upgrade its fleet of KC-135 aircraft. It was probably convenient that the 707's disappeared from the used market. They had considered reengining exising 707-300's with CFM engines and redesignate the upgraded planes as 707-700's, but their economists predicted that reengined 707 would reduce demand for new build 757's.
