Dr. Ben Carson, the Republican party’s current No. 2 presidential candidate, said he would consider a run for the White House outside of the party but probably not this cycle.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. It’ll be interesting to see how Carson (probably not this cycle) proceeds from this point forward. He is no Ross Perot, but if he goes 3rd party and Jeb is his GOPe 3rd party running mate /sarc things could get interesting.

That would be silly on so many levels. Whatever inflated view of himself he has, he has NEVER led in a single poll anywhere that I am aware of (tying Trump one time in MI). He has nowhere near the money Trump does (who could actually pull off a privately-financed third party run). So far, while he has had some very good comments on Islamic extremism, I have yet to see him have an across the board appeal.

My guess is were he to run third party, he'd pull about 2-3% of the Trump/Fiorina support and fade quickly.

Carson and his ego have been paid all along to run—first to split the conservative vote and now to stop Trump.

Apparently Carson and his ego have no limits to what they will do, since a third-party run would only bleed votes from the Republican nominee—to assure a continued monopoly of the uniparty.

Carson can be a role model without being president and just because he is intelligent and accomplished does not make him presidential material. We need someone who knows the ropes of this huge business called the U.S. and no I am not saying only Trump can right the ship.

I thought they all signed pledges?

Or was that only for Trump?

So the “Pledge “ was just to keep Trump in Line? I am smelling the RINO Tyrants at work here. Ben Carson is being USED by the Anti-Trump forces to keep Donald at Bay.

Right. The public demands someone unintelligent and unaccomplished. That's how, for example, Bush and Obama ended up in office.

Pretty much. We were TOLD Bush and Obama were intelligent and accomplished, were they? How much did the intelligence and talent make them good presidents?

It’s really very simple. The GOP has painted itself into a corner and needs to start dealing with reality. If an outsider is NOT nominated, it is finished as a political party.
