I’ve told a couple of people not to let their cars anywhere near a dealer. You likely don’t want their ECU “update”.
I fear that some states might make a trip to the dealer for software patch a requirement/condition for any sale. It works great without the fix. It was just something to appease the regulators in their moment of testing.
