Seriously - Marie Harf DID say this, and probably believes it.
It’s ubiquitous among the leftist self-styled “intelligentsia” that [somehow] we just have to give people “jobs” and all the world’s social ills will be solved.
Now, IF they think this deeply, they probably believe these “jobs” are to be supplied by the State, which of course would be an unsustainable endeavor if it ever even got off the ground.
