Norquist doesn't pretend to speak for "the conservative movement," whatever his other views on other issues may be, he's pretty much a single-issue lobbyist. He endorses or rejects candidates based almost solely on whether they accept or reject his no-tax pledge. A lot of voters and organizations are single-issue voters or lobbyists, which makes for odd bedfellows on other issues.

We need someone to read Norquist out of the Conservative movement like Buckley did to the LaRouchites.

I don't think I'd care for anyone who has a presumption to speak for who does or doesn't belong in the conservative movement, because "conservatism" means different things to different people. I dislike Norquist, but I equally strongly dislike much of the GOP establishment and the neoconservatives. Do I get to drum them out? If not, who does? The bottom line is that I can decide for myself whose views I agree or disagree with, I don't need an official spokesman like Buckley to tell me who is out and who is in.
