A Cruz/Carson ticket would be hard to beat. I don’t think Carson is ready for the big desk but he’s clearly a fast learner.

Carson spoke a Spring Arbor college a few days ago to a crowd of 3000 which is about 200 more than the entire population of the town.

More GOPe/RINO media trying to push Carson (or Carly) as (faux) conservatives to try to bring down Trump’s support.

Dunno how I feel about this - the writer starts out by pointing out that because Ben Carson is popular within the party it proves Republicans aren't racist, then closes by saying because Ben Carson is black we stand a better chance of winning the White House.

Strange times.

At least Carson has some brains. Not like that makes any difference to the average voter.

I did see the first Republican bumper sticker for president yesterday. It was a Ben Carson sticker.

What has the good Dr. run, other than a small practice?

How many people has he forged into a team to get things done - big things?

I like him personally. I don’t see him as the leader of a country.

I don’t like Trump as much, personally. I do see him as a leader who will get things done.

Carson has about as much executive experience as Obama had in 2008. Recall that Obama’s claim to executive experience was from running his presidential campaign.

Another OJT for president?

Personally liking someone and voting for them are two different things. I like a lot of people that I would not vote for President.

Nah. I have it on good authority that Americans won’t elect another African-American.

And so if Dr. Carson wins...would this make him the FIRST truly African-American to take office?

Thinks we should have “negotiated with moderate Arab allies” for hand-over of Bin Laden.

Weak, unrealistic, world view. Non starter.

I'm sure Ben Carson is a nice man and a quiet man, and outstanding in his profession. His profession has absolutely nothing to do with being President, however, and requires a completely different personality with a completely different demonstrated set of skills.

We have no earthly idea whether Ben Carson has that skill set or not, but there is nothing in his professional or personal background to say he does.

I want him to be the Republican choice. Will the media obsess over him and talk about the “first completely Black president”? (0bammy is half black).

I’m sure he’s a good buy on a personal level.

But he’s also bad on guns and bad on immigration, and at least questionable on abortion.

It’s hard to ask why Trump is getting traction in the primary, even though he’s not really conservative, without also asking the same question about Carson.
