The so-called progressives love to talk about how their policies will create a workers paradise, but then why is it that day after day, month after month, year after year, people are fleeing liberal blue states for conservative red states?
The new Census data on where we live and where we moved to in 2014 shows that the top seven states with the biggest percentage increase in in-migration from other states are in order: North Dakota, Nevada, South Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, and Texas. All of these states are red, except Colorado, which is purple. Meanwhile the leading exodus states of the continental states in percentage terms were: Alaska, New York, Illinois, Connecticut, New Mexico, New Jersey, and Kansas. All of these states are blue, except Alaska and Kansas.
The latest Rich States, Poor States document (which I co-author) published by ALEC, the state legislative organization, finds that nearly 1,000 people each day on net are leaving blue states and entering red states. This migration is changing the economic center of gravity in America moving it relentlessly to the South and West.

The movie “Escape from New York” was a prophesy, not entertainment.
The north is doomed by their liberalism.
This is a very good reason to make sure schools teach traditional, conservative American values — both social and economic. People move North to South and bring their Socialism with them. Their kids need to be indoctrinated that Socialism and liberal moral values are wrong.
Kind of odd seeing Kansas. Locally in Wichita I’m seeing a huge spike in growth. New construction, out of state plates, frequent jams I haven’t seen before.
Plus as a postal clerk I’m privy to working with change of address forms, and that volume has ticked up.
something no look right in them there words.
“That’s not the way we do it back home.”
Too many who flee to the south from the unlivable liberal hells they have created in northern states immediately set about trying to eliminate southern culture and recreate the same failed social and economic systems they just escaped from.
the remnants of America all went north a long time ago...and so here we sit w/our finger in our..., etc.............
Nail hit on the head. Well played sir.
Problem being that they bring their latent political views with them and infect the Red States with the same idiocy that collapsed the Blue ones they are now fleeing.
Does Wasserman ring a bell
Fine, as long as they leave their voting patterns UP NORTH......................See ‘Massholes’.....................

Did you really have to ask that question?

That's what I hear from so many who have moved to Texas. Makes me so d*mn mad! Go back to your Lib h*llhole then!!
They’ll migrate south and immediately proceed to bitch about Confederate battle flags, statues of Lee and Jackson, and the traditional ways of southerners.
Indeed.... But if the people moving have the same attitudes as the states they are leaving there will be no conservative places left....just ask Colorado.
Yeh its great. The Yankees move down here and then vote to try to turn our states into the same chithole they left behind. Please don’t move to GA.
Exactly. When they get here they want to establish there lefty Utopias here. I am beyond tired of hearing it and whenever I do now I add if it was so great there go back. If not stfu.
I have a friend who is the District Governor for a service club covering much of the state. The chapters in small towns/rural areas are drying up because the towns are drying up. Growth is only in the KC Metro, Wichita, Lawrence, Topeka. Everywhere else the prairie is bleeding.
Even Pennsylvania looks business-friendly when compared to some of our loony neighbors (New York, New Jersey, Maryland)
If I was back home, we'd be getting ready for win-tah. Two, maybe three weekends left before snowfall is a distinct possibility. Whereas in the south, I'm still mowing my lawn. Grilled out on the patio last night. It was perfect.
Of course, I'll let you in on a secret - back in Maine, we didn't particularly like Yankees from NYC, Boston, NJ, etc, either. Just tolerated them as tourists, and enjoyed spending the money that they left. ;-)
