He’s a muslim because he doesn’t want to be associated with the “Christians” who brought his ancestors over here to be slaves. So he dropped the former slave owner’s name and took on an Arabic name as a political protest.
He hasn’t studied the Koran or history. It was the Muslims that captured the Slaves and sold them to the slaveholders in America.
I’m making sure my son gets this picture as I teach him history. I have figured out out they crystallize the notion that only white males bear the guilt of slavery. They are never taught the trade beyond the American continent.
