With all due respect, I disagree. Making an “enormous amount of money” is a qualifier. Trump had to be a business genius to do that, particularly in Marxist/Socialist New York. I love and prefer CRUZ but I will take Trump if that’s how the cookie crumbles.
As for “moral superiority” re self funding, I agree. But, let’s not discount it completely which is what you seem to be doing.

The government is not a business though. Hate “insiders” all you want, but I look for government experience, in a conservative of course.
As for the funding thing, well yes I guess I do discount it completely. Maybe it’s good to be “beholden” to someone besides yourself and your giant ego. Shrug. I certainly wouldn’t want a country where only the independently wealthy can be trusted to hold office.
