Germany's domestic intelligence chief warned Sunday of a radicalization of right-wing groups amid a record influx of refugees, as xenophobic rallies and clashes shook several towns on the weekend.
"What we're seeing in connection with the refugee crisis is a mobilization on the street of right-wing extremists, but also of some left-wing extremists" who oppose them, said Hans-Georg Maassen on Deutschlandfunk public radio.
He added that for the past few years his service had witnessed a "radicalization" and "a greater willingness to use violence" by all extremist groups, including the far right and the anti-fascist far left.
Maassen spoke as Germany expects up to one million refugees this year, and after protests against refugee homes and clashes with police again rocked several towns on the weekend, mostly in the former communist East Germany.
Police and soldiers guarded two buses carrying about 100 refugees Saturday night to a shelter in the town of Niederau, in the eastern Saxony state, after right-wing protesters had rallied at the site, a former supermarket, since Friday.
More than 1,000 people also demonstrated against refugees in several towns in the eastern state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Friday, including in coastal Stralsund where three people were wounded in clashes with counter-protesters.
In the eastern city of Leipzig, the right-wing rally "Offensive for Germany", organised by a local anti-Islam activist with about 400 marchers, sparked a larger left-wing counter-protest that police said drew more than 1,000 activists.
In the ensuing street clashes, the rival groups hurled rocks and fireworks at each other.
In the western city of Bremen unknown persons attempted to set fire to a tent set to house refugees from October.
This year alone has seen 22 arson attacks against would-be or existing refugee shelters, said Maassen, whose service is called the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
Whether there is truly organized opposition to the EU-sponsored invasion is debatable
But what the German Government IS saying: IF we have to start cracking heads against disgusted German citizens, it will be all their fault, because they are Nazis or skinheads.
Governments never consult its citizens about immigration policy. They aren’t allowed to know what it is, or how its made, and if they dare to question it they will be ignored, silenced, shouted down, mocked or denigrated. Or maybe they’ll sic the “domestic intelligence” secret police on them.

You notice the German government considers its own citizens to be a security threat but a million foreigners can come rolling in and they don’t blink an eye.
Since they clearly aren’t serving the interests of their citizens, you have to assume that someone has made them a better offer. You have to wonder if the chancellor has an investment portfolio in a Saudi bank and a dossier in the Saudi intel chief’s bottom desk drawer.
Heck, the executives don't even bother to consult their legislatures anymore. I don't recall the US Congress voting on this issue, and I don't think the Bundestag voted on it either.
Whatever happens in these clashes among Germans.....it would not be happening apart from Merkel’s insistence that Germany become the temp-plate for Multi-Culturalism.
Merkel will sick the police on those opposing the Muslim Refugees as she did here last month....

Germans need to follow the Finns, the Finns greeted the “poor refugees” with petrol bombs and entire towns of people blocking off the roads so they couldn’t get in.
