Donald Trump will release his tax plan Monday morning, his campaign manager said Saturday.
Corey Lewandowski also told CNN that the plan will be published on Trumps website.
On Wednesday, Trump said his plan will call for middle class tax cuts and hikes for hedge fund managers.
(It) will be very long on policy and will be a great plan, with a major reduction in taxes for the middle class, Trump said at a town hall meeting in Columbia, South Carolina, at the University of South Carolina.
Trump promised that his plan would be great for middle income residents and businesses, but not so much for hedge fund managers, who he has turned into political punching bags of late.
Its going to be very specific, Trump said of his proposal. And I think its going to be a plan that creates incentives, and I think its going to be a plan that makes people happy, other than maybe the hedge fund guys, who make hundreds of millions of dollars and pay very little tax. I mean, those guys will not exactly love me.

Agreed. But if Trump's plan is less progressive, then it would be a step in the right direction.
And remember it is some of these hedge fund guys who are setting up and giving to candidates PACs.
Was just about to post that. Interesting, eh?
Leftists sometimes propose that citizens have a moral obligation to pay more to the government than the law requires. I don't buy it. Less revenue - and therefore less power - to the government is something we should all support.
“Do you realize how foolish you sound?”
Foolish? It was supposed to be foolish.
The average person, with a room temperature IQ, who would read what I wrote, would instantly spot it as sarcasm.
Hedgefund managers have loopholes, capital gains, etc, that you and I don’t have....thus, they get by with paying less than they would under a flat/fair tax. You and I would pay less under said plan.
Tax preparation folks probably won’t like Trump’s plan....as it cuts down their work. I know our tax guy isn’t too keen on a simplified tax plan...he/his staff may be out of work :-O
Okay, well, you have a different way of expressing sarcasm then.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Anyone who wants to know what Trump thinks and what his ideas are just need to read his book from 2011, it’s all pretty much in there.
In addition he has a new book coming out next month also detailing a lot of his thinking. So all the pundits, etc., looking for answers can find them. He’s put out and will be putting out a lot more than most of the others.
Trump is going to abolish taxes. Anything less than that is socialism.

Carried interest is a loophole scam that these Democrat hedge fund guys use..it’s not going to upset me..anyway when Trump helps bring back real growth to the economy the market will go up because of real reasons and not because of phoney money printing, low interest rates and QE
Only after those misplaced plans by them have been found. How long have THOSE been out there?
That’s always a losing game, and I think down deep everybody knows it. As long as you have a graduated income tax that divides the citizenry into classes and groups and targets some while favoring others, you’ve got statist socialist governance. And as long as politicians are buy-able, the big boys are always going to buy their way out of tax liability. It’s as sure as the sun coming up in the east.
Ok, I see what you mean. I believe he is doing that. It is still early in this election cycle and he is, in my opinion, offering specifics. One new one every two or three weeks will put a lot of meat on his proposed path forward. And leader or not, if the others do not do similarly, they are assured of being 'also rans'!
It is time for the debates to start getting into these specifics, and make each candidate answer the same specific issue questions. We need to see the candidates debating, not the moderators doing the 'debating'. Faux Snooze screwed up big time in the first 'debate', which never came close to being a 'debate'. That was all about the three 'establishment stooges' trying to bait Trump. A Paux on them!
Well it’s about time!! (s/o)
Now, Mr. T....ask the others to do the same.
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!
It stopped working for some reason. Try googling the title.
Try it again. It’s now rerouting to CNN.
Regarding who would pay less or more, it’s all a maybe/maybe not until something is enacted and actually happens. When the incentives change, behavior changes, in ways that are often unpredictable to those in the business of predicting these things.
It’s entirely possible that I’ll see Trump’s tax proposals and say, “Hey, great!” However, hedge-fund persons and their attorneys and accountants will likely snicker, because no plan survives contact with the enemy.
Regardless of the candidate, the big question about what he or she proposes to accomplish, if elected, is, “How?” By the Constitutional legislative processes? Well, miracles do happen ...
Yep, agree and am sure it will be. Bush released his tax plan already and guess what? He goes after the hedge fund guys too!!! I think he’s got a lot of what Trump has already talked about. But, no one has even noticed Jeb plan. Because, well...it’s Jeb.
Meanwhile, most all the gop candidates have met with Laffer and Forbes, so Trump isn’t necessarily breaking ground there.
:-) Yeh so true.
So far Trump who is supposed to be such a clown has put out a white paper on immigration, 2nd amendment and now tax reform. He’s such a lightweight. The others not so much.
I’m sure the MSM will report as widely on Trump’s new tax plan as they did on immigration and 2nd amendment proposals. (sarc)
