Donald Trump will release his tax plan Monday morning, his campaign manager said Saturday.
Corey Lewandowski also told CNN that the plan will be published on Trumps website.
On Wednesday, Trump said his plan will call for middle class tax cuts and hikes for hedge fund managers.
(It) will be very long on policy and will be a great plan, with a major reduction in taxes for the middle class, Trump said at a town hall meeting in Columbia, South Carolina, at the University of South Carolina.
Trump promised that his plan would be great for middle income residents and businesses, but not so much for hedge fund managers, who he has turned into political punching bags of late.
Its going to be very specific, Trump said of his proposal. And I think its going to be a plan that creates incentives, and I think its going to be a plan that makes people happy, other than maybe the hedge fund guys, who make hundreds of millions of dollars and pay very little tax. I mean, those guys will not exactly love me.

Wow!
I’m a big fan of Steve Forbes, too. I contributed when he was running and got a Christmas card from him a couple of years.

I thought this was quite informative, although there are certainly other perspectives.
Yep, those damn hedge fund people. My life will vastly improve only if their tax rate is the same as mine; that is what really matters. Now, if the country is invaded and overrun, that doesnt matter that much at all. Nor dissolving the military that is okay. And being a slave to political correctness has it good points. Not having anything manufactured in the United States will save on air pollution. Getting rid of Christianity will improve all our lives. And it is extremism and racism to say we want to make America great again, because when America was great, it was mostly white. So we cant have that at all. And after we are all assigned to the dustbin of history, we can comfort ourselves - we got those damned hedge fund guys.
Your post contradicts itself. Care to further explain?
You jab Trump for going after the ones who are high earners/low tax payers (percent wise) and then appear to attack him on ALL things he said he’ll also do...strengthen our (weakened by 0bola) military, bring back jobs, protect our religious liberties (where our Christian nation can say Merry Christmas!) and actually bring folks together - Trump has the highest percent of minorities supporting him than any other Pubbie candidate.
So, what gives? Maybe I’m missing something?
Thank you.
Love the implied sarcasm ;)
Yes, because leading every other candidate since early summer, most by double digits, isnt enough.

Yes, he’s leading but has an opportunity to DOMINATE. If he doesn’t produce some specifics soon, he will allow his opponents to chip away at his credibility. Trump is already popular; add some policy gravitas to that and you have a very formidable candidacy.
Yes, once you outline a plan, you run some risk of counter-proposals and the exposure of weaknesses and inconsistencies. But you can’t build anything without a plan. We need to see some reasonable outline of his ideas for moving the country forward.
Good, viable ideas will only strengthen his candidacy IMO. Imagine the surge of voter support if he could get.
Trump isn’t attacking hedge funds, just wanting to even the taxpaying field on guys like HF managers...who pay relatively low taxes, compared to the incomes they’re making.
HF managers aren’t paying taxes on ALL of their income....where as you and I are (unless, of course, you happen to be a hedge fund manager :).
We’ll have to see exactly what his proposed tax policy plan is, on Monday.
I think you may not have been paying attention. He has already released details on Immigration and on The 2nd Amendment. And now his Tax Plan
You will find these on his website, https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform
Show me details from the other candidates, please!
Is Trump the only candidate from whom we demand details?
I’m with you on Forbes. Very knowledgeable guy and he can play a valuable role.
“So, what gives? Maybe Im missing something?”
Yes, you are missing sarcasm. You said Trump is giving us someone to hate with his tax plan. My point is the average person does not hate Hedge fund people because they are like me, completely ignorant about the concept. Trump just mentions that the Hedge fund people want like his plan. The issues I mentioned are the ones and the reasons Trump gathers support, not a daily two-minute hate session.
We’re not supposed to be made up of “classes.”
We’re supposed to be made up of citizens, all equal before the law.
Any Marxist graduated income tax makes that impossible.
Please see my comment #25.
He is the front runner and, fair or not, the expectations are higher.
Hypocritical, isn’t it?
Even more frustrating is that the sheeple won’t even check if Trump has plans and read them, but will believe the MSM’s and GOPe’s lies. I feel like Winston in 1984 a lot.
I'm reading the article, including the quotes from his top campaign guy, in the context of where Trump has always stood on taxation.
What are you reading?
Trump is the only candidate attacking all the points you made, so why the sarcasm about hedge fund managers.
“Trump is the only candidate attacking all the points you made, so why the sarcasm about hedge fund managers.”
I was responding to a previous poster who said that Trump was only or trying to give us someone to hate in order to win. My point was that we support Trump for what he campaigns on, not on who he is supposedly trying to make us hate.
Do you realize how foolish you sound?
Ok....I’m having a second mug of coffee, so I should be getting up to speed, soon :)
