It's John Boehner, who announced his plans to resign as Speaker of the House on Friday.
Caught by some reporters following his speech at the conservative Values Voters Summit in Washington, D.C. Saturday, the South Carolina senator was both hopeful and concerned about the aftermath of Boehners decision.
Its a fresh start, and whats the goal here? The goal here is to move the needle, he said. I hope we can have a relationship with the new Speaker that will allow us not to shut down the government, keep the conservative agenda alive, and focus on winning in 2016.
...
The worst possible outcome here is that the Speaker of the House resignation leads to a meltdown of the Republican Party that prevents us from winning in 2016, Graham said.
...
Asked about former GOP candidate Scott Walkers plea for those still running who are doing poorly to drop out, Graham retorted, I agree, they should all drop out and get behind me!

Oh, God. He uses the phrase “move the needle.” I’m probably his age and I haven’t used that expression in 25 years.

And just what makes Lindsey Graham think we would all vote for him if everyone else did drop out? Are these Washington elites that oblivious as to what the voters think about them? We elected them to shut the govt down if that is what it takes to stop Obama. How did we ever manage to nominate and elect such obvious incompetents and fools?

Pee-Wee Herman could out-poll Linda Graham in South Carolina right now. A dog with rabies is more popular than Graham.

See, Flimsey thinks it’s a meltdown if we nominate and elect candidates who would shut down his employer, The Cheap Labor Express.
“Winning” in 2016 to Grahmnesty would be electing ¡Yeb! The Joyful Amnesty Tortoise
To me, that’s losing... the rule of law..... and the country

Lindsey Graham Worries of GOP 'Meltdown' After John Boehner Resignation
Is this true Lindsey? Are you genuinely troubled about this?
Listen Lindsey, run yourself a nice deep hot bath and add those rose-scented bubble bath powders to the water, pour an aperitif or a snifter-full of your favorite night-time beverage and climb into the most relaxing Saturday evening you could imagine. Company is optional.
You'll thank yourself for it.

If you are so worried about it Linda, join the Democrat party. You are one anyway.

Says the guy with 0% support in his own home state!
Lindsay Graham is out of touch with the mood in the party and the country.
He wants to play the Grateful Dead to Obama.
Come to think of it, that’s exactly what happened to his own campaign.
