During his rise to political prominence, Sen. Marco Rubio frequently repeated a compelling version of his family’s history that had special resonance in South Florida. He was the “son of exiles,” he told audiences, Cuban Americans forced off their beloved island after “a thug,” Fidel Castro, took power.
But a review of documents — including naturalization papers and other official records — reveals that the Florida Republican’s account embellishes the facts. The documents show that Rubio’s parents came to the United States and were admitted for permanent residence more than two-and-a-half years before Castro’s forces overthrew the Cuban government and took power on New Year’s Day 1959.

Overall Marco is a fairly OK conservatives with flaws on immigration policies. He’s just too boyish to be president.

Marco Rubio wilts under stress, sweating and mumbling. Not good leadership quality.
I am certainly not a Rubio fan but I have one thing to point out about him. He has very strange ears, they are really somewhat out of proportion to his head and they rather stand out. Everytime I see him I find myself looking at those ears.
Feels that way doesn’t it? The GOPe is trying to fire the next arrow in their quiver.
Trump is on fire. He just needs to keep it up. I pray for his stamina.
People are really pissed off. Totally tired and sick of politicians, lies, the media agenda. I just hope enough of them are really and truly pissed off.

Biden plagiarizes his family history.
His story bores me to death. My eyes glaze over whenever he launches into it.
There are reasons to not support Rubio.

Although Marco Rubio’s parents left Cuba BEFORE Castro achieved his revolution, the country was, at the time, under the control of a DIFFERENT bunch of thugs, specifically the Mafia, with the benevolent eye of Fulgencio Batista keeping it “safe” to operate their rackets openly.
With Castro, Cuba traded one form of oligarchy for another, with even more coercive use of repression of economic opportunity.
It was not better.
Wow. The WaPo criticizing a conservative. Do they really think they have even a shred of credibility? Even if they were telling the truth no one with more than a hockey score IQ would give it any credence.

For me it depends on how Trump gets defeated. If Trump collapses on his own, then I’ll vote for whoever is on the Republican ticket. If he’s unfairly driven out, I’ll find someone else to vote for.
