Um... God said (to the Israelites) that all debts were to be erased every SEVEN (7) years.

If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.Still posting your quite visible bias after being called on it SO many times; eh?
STA apparently CHOOSES to give a false imprssion every time he writes:
"If he will not listen to the church, treat him as a pagan or tax collector." --Jesus
Matthew 18:15-17 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
15 But if thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother.
16 And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.
17 And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.

Whenever the topic turns to Catholicism, I am amazed at the depth and scope of bigotry and the abundance of ignorance on Free Republic. The correct term here is being 'poorly catechized'.

Whatever the local congregation of genuine believers happens to be. I thought you had a hard question here.

A life of hatred must be miserable.A few hours on the rack and then a nice hot bath in boiling oil will usually cure even the most stubborn cases.

Golly!
MORMON facts do really upset you!
I’d try to ignore; as much as possible; something that causes me so much rancor and ill will.

Complicating the question is the frequent discrepancy between what a catechism officially says and how it plays out in practice with little or no attempt to correct the latter. Hey it’s Our One True Church what’s not to like? Well sometimes a valid church still has a lot not to like as the opening chapters of Revelation point out for example.

Fortunately, people like the Pope and the USCCB don’t speak for The Church, and are just misunderstood/mistranslated, as well as being poorly Catechized!

Or is it anti-Mormon “fruitcake”? This is not clear.

Well technically what could you call them. Orthocath or something like that? This was well, well before the Catholic/Orthodox split.

"We know; it appears to be a word that ROME invented."Oh, how dastardly! But no, not really. At the second Diet of Speyer certain attendees drafted, signed and presented the Protestati, and those who subscribed to the document naturally became known as "Protestantem," which is the present participle of "Protestati."
It could have been worse. Imagine what you people would be called if they'd given the document a silly title, like "The Complaint," or "The Testament to Hurt Feelings." Count your lucky stars.

I don’t go for Mormon. The story starts out sounding well, but I think Smith got suckered. He was asking questions based on the wrong premise. Besides the theology is weird and so are the stories of serious Mormons. Whatever this is, the official story ain’t the saving love of God in Christ on the Cross. Even a lot of Catholics get that better.
