Outstanding!

I’m amazed by the people that still defend it.

Many of us are for free trade. But free trade demands open markets among all principals to work. The superior nation will always “win,” but everyone will be lifted. We do not have fair, open markets today. China, Japan, others have such barriers that by the time free trade won, the nation would be destroyed.

I’m surprised anyone ever did.

It was a monstrosity and covered things far outside normal trade matters.

One major problem I had was the ability for Mexican truckers to enter our nation and go anywhere they wanted with Mexican trucks. No need to have them inspected.

Cheap Labor, rears it’s ugly head again.

IMO, this would have had a very negative impact on the nations truckers, because no Mexican truck would dead head back to the border. They’d be moving freight our truckers used to.

Screw that noise...

Trump’s right. Renegotiate with people who don’t have their heads firmly implanted.

Canada and Mexico can trade with us reasonably. This shouldn’t be unfair to them either, but some common sense should apply.
