Allies of Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) are infuriated with the right wing of the House GOP conference, which they blame for his resignation.
GOP lawmakers whove stood by Boehners side throughout his rocky five-year tenure as Speaker bitterly blamed the right flank for forcing a contested leadership race less than a year after the party won control of Congress in the 2014 midterm elections.
A fired-up House Ethics Committee Chairman Charlie Dent (R-Pa.), speaking not long after Boehner dropped the bombshell at a Friday conference meeting that hell leave Congress at the end of next month, ripped into hard-line conservatives.
He accused them of opposing Boehner at every turn, and noted they have never had a horse of their own.
Any jackass can kick down a barn door. It takes a carpenter to hang one. We need a few more carpenters around here. Everybody knows it, Dent said off the House floor.
Leadership allies are frustrated by what they see as a repeated exercise in futility.
They argue that the lawmakers who repeatedly tangled with Boehner arent team players, and they said a new leadership team shouldnt cater to them.
Boehner repeatedly saw conservatives vote against the GOP rules governing debate on legislation. Those votes are supposed to be tests of party loyalty.
They also argue Boehner repeatedly bent to conservative critics on spending issues, only to see them stab him in the back.
Frankly, I thought our leadership in too many cases has been too accommodating, too quick to appease those who will not govern, Dent said. They give far too much procedural consideration to those who will not vote for the bills at the end of the process. Thats going to end. Weve had enough of that.

Yay! the pro baby butchery wing of the party.
Rope.
Tree limb.
Some assembly required.
(Now, had he done what we TOLD HIM TO DO................)
Our freedoms have been sold out by these treasonus pukes on so many fronts.
If there was a general understanding of how this is being accomplished by Sustainable Development/Agenda 21 there would be truckloads of lumber and rope headed to DC right now!
Isn’t it a big time and debate saver, when the enemies of conservatism and America stand on the rooftops to scream how much they hate them both?
They have just shown the Tea Party and conservatives where to target their money and strength for the next primary elections. So find us true conservatives to run against them, and beware the “faux conservatives” who will lie like dogs until the day of the election, then take off their masks.
Like Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, of North Carolina, who swore up and down that she was a conservative, until elected, then immediately came out of the closet as a hardcore liberal.
The best bet is a checklist given to potential candidates.
On it are the most important conservative positions on issues. And their *oath* that they intend to carry them out, signed by them.
With the condition in clear print, that if they fail to do so, this checklist represents their resignation from office, and cannot be renounced or reneged. And that their failure to carry out the duties of their office according to this shall be determined by a vote of their Republican constituents in office, who were registered Republicans at the time of their election.
Nope, just an honest question as he had made a very finely and accurately drawn point about usage. I’m taking the point as a distinction, “ the platoon was infuriated by ( as in “was inspired by “) the commands of the general,” rather than the usage in the article which would mean that the general made them angry at him. So, I wonder about “enraged by “ in the same context. Maybe the prefix “in-” vs. “”en-” has something to do with it, if it is different, but I don’t know Latin; I’ll ask my daughters when I think of it.
Now I understand.
Grammar forward!
It wouldn’t take all that much actually. One rope, one gallows, and one perp, that is all it would take. Treason isn’t worth your life, and so a continuing saga of cultural destruction by oath taking treasonous blastards would end suddenly.
The real problem of course would be finding a judge and jury that would honestly examine the evidence and reach a conviction.
“Team players”, “party loyalty” = capitulation and selling out. Good riddance to the Orange One and may Dent be ousted as well.
What is amazing is that these imbeciles don't get that they are supposed to be the allies of the Republican constituency that voted them into office more than a walking talking hand wringing tear sodden cheeto.
Then change for R to D, you effing idiot.
Power in the sense that they think they are better and superior to the ordinary citizen. They consider them selves better because after all THEY are in DC. It is the hobknobbing and partying and shoulder touching with those whom they think are important. It is corrupt and indecent. If you think that drunk Johnny believes that he is ‘just one of us’ you are mistaken. Internally he believes that we are rubes and unworthy.
IF George Washington were of this ilk he would have gone ahead and taken the kingship offered him. Instead, the humble man lead for awhile because he was needed and then he returned to being a citizen. Oh that those in DC would have learned from our great founders
Aaaahhhh, but the strawberries, THAT'S where he had them!
“”Any jackass can kick down a barn door. It takes a carpenter to hang one. We need a few more carpenters around here. Everybody knows it, Dent said off the House floor.”
Boehner wasn’t building a barn door, he was building a coffin.
Republicans should be identified by either PR or CR.
PR Progressive Republican
CR Conservative Republican
Not fearful. I never said be fearful.
I said be alert and vigilant. I am happy, nay thrilled, Johnny is gone. I just know there is so much more to do.

Be happy but he ain’t gone yet. There is enormous damage he can do even now
later
Furious -— NOPE “Foolish” Boehner allies lash out ... There - that’s better...
