I haven't even read the MSNBC story. I just watched the speech - they were booing the "clown" comment.
I watched the speech too, and if one wants to find 'booing at Trump', it is possible to do so.
The question in that case remains, why would "conservatives" defend the amnesty loving Rubio?
It is all in the eye of the beholder.

(If you really support Ted Cruz, don't be trashing Trump, Cruz doesn't, why should you?)

The question in that case remains, why would "conservatives" defend the amnesty loving Rubio? Who says I am defending Rubio??? I am just inserting a little reality into the conversation. Whether you like Rubio or not, the people at the summit clearly did not like the name calling - something Trump may want to consider.

The question in that case remains, why would "conservatives" defend the amnesty loving Rubio? Because Rubio has taken strong, articulate positions on pro-life and religious liberty issues, the very issues that matter deeply to the social conservatives there at the Values Voters Summit today, issues on which Rubio has a much stronger history than Trump. Rubio is also very strong and articulate on foreign policy. Yes, believe it or not, there are some issues conservatives care about other than immigration. Also, some of the people there today may not appreciate Trump's penchant for arrogance and cheap insults. They may find it unbecoming for a presidential candidate.
