I am a lifelong Catholic, and have no intention of ever joining any other religion.

Having said that, I can repeat two questions I have asked a lot lately...

How many muslims from any country has the Vatican accepted?

How many refugee persecuted Christians from any country has the Vatican accepted?

Even allowing for proportionality, seems to me a few hundred would be "fair" and just."

I don't expect to see any rational answer any time soon.
