In fact, he should share the gospel of an “insane” heavenly love with Catholics and everyone else who will listen. Even grace — if we stop there — is a weak thing. It doesn’t say anything about HOW and WHY the grace got there. Without filling that spiritual hole, all manner of other assumptions will come chattering in.

And you know he doesn’t do precisely that? I have listened to him preach and teach for many many hours and I appreciate his ministry. I’ve never met Richard, but I know men who know him (one knows him rather well) and they think the world of him. He is an humble man with a heart to reach the lost for Christ, particularly Catholics. If you don’t agree with his theology or like his approach, just ignore him.

After considering what you said a little more, it sounds as if you don’t think someone can be saved unless evangelism is done the way you would do it. Maybe that’s not what you mean or believe, but that’s how it comes across.

Please know that ALL those given by the Father to the Son will come to Christ and be saved (John 6:37). His people will be willing in the day of HIS power (Psalm 110:3). Never forget that salvation is a matter of grace, it’s an undeserved, unmerited gift. We Christians are to witness and spread the good news, but it’s never in our hands. We are given the honor or being involved, but make no mistake about it, from beginning to end, salvation is in His hands, just as it has always been. If the Lord doesn’t give a man ears to hear, it won’t matter how biblically correct our message or how impressive our technique. “Salvation is of the Lord (Jonah 2:9).”

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
