I am advising about a very common problem. If the shoe fits it should be worn; if it does not fit then it shouldn’t. You are the one coming up with the strawman — not I.
In fact, he should share the gospel of an “insane” heavenly love with Catholics and everyone else who will listen. Even grace — if we stop there — is a weak thing. It doesn’t say anything about HOW and WHY the grace got there. Without filling that spiritual hole, all manner of other assumptions will come chattering in.
